Anatoly Solovyev is a Soviet cosmonaut and record holder for the most EVAs performed by a person. He flew five space missions, including long-duration stays on Mir, and performed 16 spacewalks! Solovyev even performed an „internal spacewalk“ in the Mir space stations depressurised Spektr module after it had been damaged by a Progress cargo spacecraft. He was also one of the few cosmonauts to have been trained for the Buran program. In total, he spent over 651 days in space and over 82 hours outside the spacecraft. Solovyev was awarded Hero of the Soviet Union and Hero of the Russian Federation as well as two NASA spaceflight medals.
