Sergei Krikalev is one of the most experienced space travelers in history. A mechanical engineer and cosmonaut, he flew six space missions, including long-duration stays on Mir and the ISS, as well as two Space Shuttle flights. He famously spent 311 days in space during the collapse of the Soviet Union (Soyuz TM-12 and TM-13), essentially becoming "the last Soviet citizen." Krikalev has accumulated over 803 days in space, placing him among the world’s top astronauts by flight time. He has received numerous awards and held senior positions at Roscosmos. Today, he remains a key figure in Russian spaceflight history and administration.
