Sergei Treshchov flew aboard one mission, Soyuz TMA-1/ISS Expedition 5 in 2002, spending 184 days aboard the ISS. During his stay, he conducted scientific experiments and a spacewalk to install equipment outside the station. Treshchov has a background in engineering and worked at RKK Energia as well as a group leader in an Air Force regiment before becoming a cosmonaut.
