Space Shuttle Landing (back) - Fine Art Print & Flown Fragment
Vibrant watercolor fine art print by space artist Sina Rathai (@artofaspacenerd) depicting Space Shuttle Columbia’s landing on STS-94. Each print (21x15cm) is hand-signed and hand-titled by the artist. Printed on premium Hahnemühle paper, it is nearly indistinguishable from the original artwork. Embedded within the display is a genuine flown thermal blanket fragment from Space Shuttle mission STS-94, which orbited Earth 251 times.
STS-94 launched on July 1, 1997, and returned on July 17, 1997, completing 251 orbits and traveling 6.2 million miles. The mission was a successful reflight of STS-83, which had to be aborted during its first launch. It was also the first time ever that a crew conducted a reflight of a mission. In orbit, they focused on groundbreaking research, including combustion science, fluid physics, and materials processing in microgravity.
Each flown piece is unique - size and shape may vary. Choose between a framed version or an unframed print in a protective folder.
