STS-94 was a mission with a very rare status - reflight! After problems with the energy system during the mission STS-83, it was decided the mission was to be reflown due to its high scientific significance. Many experiments were conducted in fields such as materials science, chemistry and physics. Finally, after almost 16 flight days, the crew and technology met all goals and Space Shuttle Columbia touched down safely.
