20,5x15cm glossy rare autograph of Valentina Ponomaryova. Mint condition.
Valentina Ponomaryova had been one of the first female cosmonaut candidates. Selected in 1962, the pilot and engineer was originally slated to fly in space alongside Valentina Tereshkova but never made a flight due to changes in the Soviet program. She later worked in the Yuri Gagarin cosmonaut training centre and in aerospace research.
